​Class Description​

Studio Collective is a relaxed, community-centered creative space for older students who are ready for greater independence in their artistic journey.Rather than completing the same project each week, students work on longer-term pieces, explore personal interests, experiment with a variety of materials, and develop their own creative voice within a supportive studio environment.

​

Each gathering begins with a brief introduction to an inspiring idea, artist, technique, or creative concept drawn from history, nature, storytelling, design, or innovation. From there, students spend most of the session immersed in their own work while receiving individual guidance, encouragement, and feedback.

 

Students will bring their lunch, enjoy conversation with fellow artists, exchange ideas, offer constructive critique, and build meaningful friendships with other creative homeschoolers. Whether developing a portfolio, trying new techniques, refining a favorite medium, or simply enjoying uninterrupted time to create, Studio Collective offers the freedom to explore while growing both artistic skills and creative confidence.

For students interested in leadership, optional Studio Mentor opportunities may also be available, allowing experienced artists to assist in younger Studio classes while building communication, teaching, and leadership skills.

​Registration

A registration fee of $75 per student secures your spot in the class for the year. Charter funds may not be used for registration fees. Verve is a vendor with Lake View, Feather River, South Sutter, and Core Butte Charter Schools.
