About Verve

At Verve, we believe education should be meaningful and joyfully challenging. Our classes are designed to help students grow in independence, curiosity, and confidence through real-world projects, creative exploration, and multi-age collaboration.

We believe young people thrive when they take ownership of their learning. That’s why our programs emphasize personal responsibility, hands-on discovery, and meaningful work—not busywork or top-down instruction. Whether writing a story, building a contraption, or solving a group challenge, learners at Verve are invited to ask big questions, pursue excellence, and experience the freedom that comes with responsibility.

Our classes are small, dynamic, and led by mentors who guide rather than lecture. We aim to cultivate a culture where students are challenged, respected, and inspired—where effort is celebrated, and learning is a lifelong adventure.

Directors

Meg and Matt Arnold are a husband-and-wife team passionate about education, creativity, and family-centered learning. Longtime homeschoolers of their four sons, they bring a unique blend of experience in teaching, technology, and entrepreneurship to the Verve community.

Meg Arnold is the heart behind Verve—a seasoned educator and curriculum designer with 18 years of homeschooling experience. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and has taught learners of all ages through vibrant, interdisciplinary classes that blend writing, art, science, and storytelling. Meg is passionate about creating spaces where students feel seen, stretched, and inspired.

Matt Arnold, with a B.A. in Philosophy and over a decade of experience as a senior UI/UX engineer, recently stepped back from the tech world to play a bigger role in the educational journey of young people. This year, he’ll be leading Verve’s “Dangerous Class,” a high-energy, hands-on course that channels adventure into purposeful learning. Matt brings curiosity, critical thinking, and a talent for systems and strategy to both the classroom and the larger vision of Verve.

Together, the Arnolds have launched multiple educational programs and love building community around bold ideas, deep learning, and joyful challenge. Verve is more than a program—it’s a living expression of their shared mission: to raise capable, curious, and courageous kids.
