About Verve

At Verve, we believe education should be meaningful, immersive, and joyfully challenging. Our classes are designed to help students grow in independence, curiosity, and confidence through real-world projects, creative exploration, and shared experiences that bring ideas to life.

We believe young people thrive when they take ownership of their learning—when they are invited not just to absorb information, but to explore it, interpret it, and do meaningful work with it. That’s why our programs emphasize personal responsibility, hands-on discovery, and authentic projects rather than busywork or top-down instruction. Whether writing a story, building a contraption, recreating a moment in history, or solving a group challenge, learners at Verve are encouraged to ask big questions, pursue excellence, and experience the freedom that comes with responsibility.

Our classes are small, dynamic, and led by mentors who guide rather than lecture. We aim to cultivate a culture where students are challenged, respected, and inspired—where effort is celebrated, curiosity is valued, and learning feels like an adventure worth stepping into.

Directors

Meg and Matt Arnold are a husband-and-wife team passionate about education, creativity, and family-centered learning. As longtime homeschoolers of their four sons, they bring a unique blend of experience in teaching, design, and entrepreneurship to the Verve community.

Meg Arnold is the heart behind Verve—a seasoned educator and curriculum designer with 18 years of homeschooling experience. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and has spent years designing immersive, interdisciplinary learning experiences that blend writing, art, science, history, and storytelling. With a background rooted in cultural study and interpretation, Meg is passionate about creating environments where students don’t just learn about ideas, but step into them—feeling seen, stretched, and inspired as they grow.

Matt Arnold holds a B.A. in Philosophy and spent over a decade as a senior UI/UX engineer, where he specialized in systems thinking, problem-solving, and human-centered design. He recently stepped back from the tech world to play a larger role in the education and formation of young people. This year, Matt leads Verve’s “Dangerous Class,” a high-energy, hands-on course that channels curiosity, adventure, and responsibility into purposeful learning. He brings clarity, strategy, and thoughtful leadership to both the classroom and the broader vision of Verve.

Together, the Arnolds have launched multiple educational programs and love building community around meaningful work, deep learning, and joyful challenge. Verve is more than a program—it is a living expression of their shared mission: to help raise capable, curious, and courageous young people prepared to engage the world with confidence and purpose.
